The MAFE Magnetic Drive Agitator is designed for applications where high containment, reliable sealing and reduced risk of product leakage are important.
Unlike conventional agitators where the drive shaft passes directly through the vessel wall, the magnetic-drive system transfers power to the agitator through a magnetic coupling. This arrangement eliminates the need for a conventional dynamic shaft seal at the drive connection, helping provide a highly contained mixing solution.
The design is particularly suitable for closed vessels and sensitive process applications involving valuable, corrosive, hazardous or contamination-sensitive products.
Depending on the process requirements, MAFE agitators can be configured with different materials, impellers, operating speeds and mounting arrangements to suit the characteristics of the product and vessel.
