Side-entry electro-agitators are industrial mixers designed for installation on the side or bottom of storage tanks and process vessels. The agitator shaft can be positioned horizontally or at an angle to suit the tank design and mixing requirements.
These agitators are mainly used for blending liquids, maintaining a uniform mixture, and preventing solids or other materials from settling at the bottom of the tank. They can be fitted with a single or double mechanical seal, selected according to the process conditions and the type of product being handled.
The mixers can be installed on open tanks or closed/pressurised vessels using a suitable counter-flange and gasket. Mechanical seal materials are selected according to the product composition and operating conditions, particularly density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, and chemical compatibility.
