High-Performance Aeration for Lagoons, Ponds & Large Basins
These high-speed floating surface aerators are designed to provide effective oxygen transfer and water circulation in lagoons, ponds and large wastewater treatment basins. Their floating configuration makes them particularly suitable for shallow-water applications and locations where permanent bridges or walkways are not available or would be costly to construct.
The aerator uses a high-speed marine-profile propeller to draw water upward through a specially shaped suction cone. The water is then discharged through the upper diffuser as a powerful surface spray, increasing contact between the water and surrounding air and promoting effective oxygen transfer.
The floating structure is designed to withstand the axial forces generated by the high-speed water flow. It is filled with high-density polyurethane foam, providing stable and reliable flotation during operation.
A TEFC electric motor is directly coupled to the rotating shaft and supported by a heavy-duty bearing arrangement. At the lower end of the shaft, the marine-profile propeller generates strong upward water flow, while the specially designed diffuser distributes the water across the surface.
The system provides combined aeration and circulation, helping maintain aerobic conditions and reduce stagnant areas within the treatment basin. Typical water circulation velocity can reach approximately 0.3 m/s, depending on the installation and operating conditions.
Installation is straightforward and does not normally require permanent concrete bridges or walkways, making these aerators a flexible solution for new and existing wastewater treatment facilities.
