Gear-Driven Vertical Agitators for Tanks, Vessels & Basins
These fixed vertical agitators are designed for installation on tanks, vessels and open basins using a flanged support and suitable counter-flange. A gear speed reducer provides controlled low-speed operation and the torque required for a wide range of industrial mixing duties.
The agitators are suitable for liquids with viscosity up to 1,500 cP and can be configured according to the density, viscosity, tank dimensions and required mixing process.
They are widely used in the production of chemical additives, polymers, lubricants, fatty acids and stabilisers, as well as in water and wastewater treatment processes including flocculation, denitrification, aerobic treatment and anaerobic treatment.
These agitators are also suitable for blending and solids-suspension applications in the food and beverage industry, including the production and processing of wine, edible oils and milk. They can also be used for mixing organic waste, sludge and process residues generated during food and beverage production.
Different impeller designs are available depending on the required mixing duty. These include marine propellers, high-efficiency propellers and axial- or radial-blade turbines. The appropriate impeller is selected according to the product characteristics, vessel design, required flow pattern and agitator operating speed.
