Horizontal Ribbon Mixers for Powders, Solids, Pastes & Liquid Addition
These horizontal double-ribbon screw blenders are designed for efficient and uniform mixing of powders, granules, solids, pastes and powder-liquid combinations.
The mixer uses a specially designed double-ribbon agitator rotating horizontally inside the mixing chamber. The inner and outer ribbons move the product in different directions, creating continuous circulation throughout the vessel and helping achieve a consistent and homogeneous mixture.
The design is particularly suitable for dry powder blending, while also allowing liquids or additives to be introduced into powders during the mixing process. The robust construction also makes the mixer suitable for certain pasty and abrasive products, subject to appropriate material and component selection.
A specially designed discharge system is provided for controlled product emptying and can also be configured for applications where liquid sealing is required.
Different construction materials, sealing systems, drive arrangements and speed-control options are available according to the product characteristics and process requirements. Units can also be configured for safe-area or ATEX applications where required.
Standard capacities are available from approximately 50 to 3,000 litres.
