Compact Vertical Agitators with V-Belt & Pulley Transmission
These fixed vertical agitators are designed for applications where installation height is limited or where a simple method of adjusting the agitator operating speed is required.
The side-mounted motor with V-belt and pulley transmission provides a more compact arrangement compared with conventional vertically mounted motor designs. This makes the agitator particularly suitable for tanks and vessels installed in areas with restricted overhead space.
The belt and pulley arrangement also provides flexibility in operating speed. By changing the pulley configuration, the agitator speed can be adjusted to suit different process requirements. Depending on the selected arrangement, different speed ratios can be achieved without the need for a complex variable-speed drive system.
For applications requiring more convenient adjustment, expandable pulley arrangements with manual hand-wheel control can also be provided, allowing the operating speed to be modified within the available adjustment range.
The motor is mounted on a robust steel support plate incorporating a dedicated belt-tensioning system. The transmission assembly is protected by a suitable metal safety guard for safer and more reliable operation.
