Elite Flow Control’s Double Block And Bleed (DBB) Ball Valves are high-integrity, safety-critical isolation valves designed to provide two independent sealing barriers against line pressure with a cavity bleed facility between them – all within a single compact valve body. Available in both Floating Type (CL150-1500) and Trunnion Type (CL150-2500) configurations, and in sizes from 2″ to 24″ (DN50 to DN600), these valves are the preferred specification wherever positive double isolation and the ability to monitor or vent the cavity between seals is required by process safety or regulatory standards.
The Double Piston Effect seat design ensures that both upstream and downstream seats provide an independent, pressure-energised seal – meaning that even if one seat fails, the second seat continues to hold pressure, maintaining system integrity. The integrated bleed connection allows operators to verify seal integrity, depressurise the cavity, or introduce sealant between the two seats without removing the valve from the pipeline – a critical capability for safe maintenance, instrument calibration, and pipeline pigging operations.
The forged body construction, combined with flange connections per ASME B16.5 and actuator mounting flanges per ISO 5211, ensures full dimensional and interface compatibility with standard pipeline equipment and actuator packages. Lever operation is lockable and removable as standard, with gear box operation and actuator mounting available for larger sizes and automated applications.
An exceptionally comprehensive range of seat and seal materials is available – from standard PTFE and RPTFE through to PEEK, Metal seat, VITON, HNBR, and beyond – covering operating temperatures from -148°F to 500°F and pressure classes from CL150 to CL2500. This makes Elite Flow Control DBB Ball Valves suitable for virtually any process fluid, temperature, or pressure condition across oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, and offshore industries.

| Material | Operating Temperature | Operating Pressure | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| PTFE | -112 ~ 248°F | 150LB | Fluorocarbon-based polymer – lowest operational torque due to low coefficient of friction |
| RPTFE | -80 ~ 120°C | 150-600LB | Reinforced PTFE – enhanced strength, stability and wear resistance |
| PCTFE | -112 ~ 248°F / -190 ~ 120°C | 150-300LB | Thermoplastic chlorofluoropolymer – dimensionally stable, rigid, resistant to cold flow, very low gas permeation |
| Nylon | -31 ~ 248°F / -45 ~ 250°C | 150-300LB | Ideal for high pressure air, oil and gas media – not suitable for strong oxidising agents |
| Molon | -49 ~ 482°F | 150-300LB | Modified Nylon (Nylon + MoS2) – similar to nylon but with higher operating temperature |
