Inverted Pressure Lubricated Plug Valve

Elite Flow Control’s Inverted Pressure Lubricated Plug Valves are robust, quarter-turn rotary valves engineered for reliable on/off isolation and throttling service across a wide range of demanding industrial applications. The valve disc is a cylindrical or conical plug with a rectangular or trapezoidal flow port, which rotates 90° to achieve full open or fully closed position – delivering fast, positive flow control with minimal operational effort.

The inverted pressure lubrication system is the defining feature of this valve design. Sealant is injected under pressure through a built-in check valve mechanism, continuously renewing the lubricating film between the plug and body seating surfaces. This not only ensures consistently smooth operation and tight shutoff throughout the valve’s service life, but also provides an additional barrier against fugitive emissions – making these valves particularly well suited to handling aggressive, toxic, or environmentally sensitive process fluids.

With a nitrided plug surface and stellite-reinforced seating options available across multiple material configurations, these valves offer outstanding resistance to wear, corrosion, and erosion in both clean and dirty service applications. Available in pressure classes from 150LB to 900LB, and in a comprehensive range of ASTM-standard materials including carbon steel, low-temperature carbon steel, stainless steel, and duplex stainless steel, they can be specified for virtually any process condition.
